Occupational Therapy Centre for children in Peristeri

Our center, although multidisciplinary, has given special emphasis to the field of occupational therapy, as it considers this science to be an important pillar for the improvement and rehabilitation of most developmental deficits in the pediatric population. However, the field of occupational therapy requires special attention, both in terms of the specialists working in the field and the equipment, which is too often considered inadequate and unprofessional. For this reason, we constantly take care of our facilities in Peristeri and make the most of our therapeutic competence in terms of new intervention methods. We maintain constant information and vigilance so that no one falls back on acquired knowledge but to constantly seek different ways of intervention and to raise new concerns to the interdisciplinary team.

Our Occupational Therapists

Our center currently employs two occupational therapists, graduates of the Athens University of Applied Sciences with experience and undiminished interest in the goal of occupational therapy, which is none other than the improvement of “WORK” at all levels of a child's daily life. With consistency and ethos they alleviate parents' levels of anxiety and with professionalism they are equally dedicated to all children in need of help.

Our Space in Peristeri

After meticulous research and dedication to new intervention methods, the occupational therapists of our centre in Peristeri, organized an area worthy of the high requirements of paediatric occupational therapy, so that all areas are protected and lined with materials that meet the safety standards for the protection of children. Based also on the needs of the motor and sensory activities, the occupational therapy area was set up in the largest part of the centre so that all the sessions could be adequately accommodated. Finally, in addition to our appropriate and complete equipment, we regularly enrich our equipment or facilities based on international protocols. All parents have the opportunity to visit our occupational therapy rooms, regardless of their children's inclusion in a program.
