Over the last five years, there has been a proliferation of requests for children under 3 years of age. Increasingly, parents are being informed by paediatricians, nursery nurses and their wider environment about possible communication, social and developmental difficulties that these children may have.<\/p>\n
At our center, the demand for deficits related to speech delay, behavioral difficulties, limited interests, repetitive routines and feeding difficulties are among the most common from 1.5 to 3 years of age.<\/p>\n
In addition, in high-risk infants, either due to low birth weight or significant prematurity, we organize a weekly follow-up, entirely formed by specialized physiotherapists, who take care of cases that may present the above characteristics, but also children with respiratory distress, hare-lipped, lynx mouth and psychomotor delay (head holding, torso control, muscle tone control, positional maintenance, etc.).<\/p>\n
All of our therapists, regardless of specialty, are properly trained in early intervention.<\/p>\n
Our physiotherapists are the first to take care of children from the neonatal age when it comes to premature infants or children with cerebral palsy, syndromes or respiratory difficulties.<\/p>\n
Our occupational therapists intervene early in children who have limited interests, stereotypes, behavioural difficulties, sensory regulation and discrimination difficulties, etc.<\/p>\n
Our speech and language therapists intervene with children with speech delays, feeding disorders and interaction difficulties.<\/p>\n
Our psychologists undertake the counselling of parents in order to focus on the child's potential and to work in a co-therapeutic way in the programme.<\/p>\n
All our spaces are designed and organized in such a way that they can accommodate children of young ages.<\/p>\n
In physiotherapy there is the therapeutic \u201ctable\u201d where parents and the therapist intervene with the infants.<\/p>\n
In occupational therapy the whole room is covered with large floor puzzles and the walls are lined with primer materials for the safety of the children.<\/p>\n
