At our Center in Peristeri, we have all the necessary assessment tools needed, such as psychometric tests (WISC 3, WPPSI), learning readiness tests (ATHINA test), developmental tests (Pre school language scale PLS 3) and adaptive skills tests (VAINLAND), as well as all the questionnaires for detecting behavior at school and at home (TRF). Based on the needs, age and request of the parent, physician or teacher we administer a series of these to complete our assessment and provide measurable results of the child's initial picture. Some of these are re-administered after the intervention for comparison and re-testing.<\/p>\n
The Special Educator of our Centre is a graduate of the Department of Philosophy - Pedagogy - Psychology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens with a Master's degree in Special Education from the Department of Early Childhood Education of the same University. With her many years of experience, she assesses the needs of children and in collaboration with the other specialties of the Centre, she is the most competent to control in a coordinated and integrated way the whole process of assessment of learning difficulties of the children who visit us.<\/p>\n
The Learning Disabilities Diagnostic Test should be carried out in a quiet, noiseless room, away from other rooms so that the child can perform better without being distracted by external stimuli. Ensure that the test is administered at a time when there are not many children present, early afternoon with the suggestion that the child does not go to school that day so that they are as rested as possible.
